This webinar will provide newcomers in the forensic field with an insight on the use and importance of analytical chemistry in forensic investigations. Through the basic principles and definitions the importance of analytical methods for any modern forensic laboratory will become clear. When applied effectively analytical chemistry can truly assist in solving crime. Latest trends and developments in forensic analytical chemistry will be discussed. Furthermore, the participants will  be challenged to get involved by addressing a number of interesting questions on the evidential value and forensic interpretation of analytical data.

Who should attend?

The webinar is targeted at analytical chemists at BSc level who are new to forensic science. A broad range of analytical techniques will be placed in a forensic context but will not be discussed in detail.
