Scientists in China have identified a range of potential biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease from a metabolomics and proteomics study of the rat model, providing insight into diagnosis of the condition and candidates for therapeutic targets.

Two complementary proteomics experiments have been carried out on the mouse model of Gulf War Illness to identify modified biological pathways in the central nervous system that might lead to targets for novel therapeutic agents.
