The UK company Malvern Instruments will hold a series of five short courses at this year's Pittcon, taking place in New Orleans, US, on 8–12 March 2015. It will also be showcasing a new chromatography system and several new detectors at the event.

The five courses are entitled:

  • Fundamentals of particle size analysis with an emphasis on light scattering techniques
  • Sampling for particle size analysis
  • Particle size and zeta potential characterization of nanoparticles
  • Separations: Fundamentals of advanced gel permeation and size exclusion chromatography detection
  • Optical rheology: How to use light scattering to obtain G’ and G” from the mean square displacement.
