For the second year, the testing and inspection company Intertek is offering its scholarship and internship program to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) students in the US and Canada looking to pursue a career in engineering.

The program comprises a $10,000 scholarship together with a paid internship at an Intertek office during summer 2015. Intertek is particularly encouraging female candidates to apply for the scholarship and internship experience in an effort to foster the advancement of women in engineering fields.

To qualify for this scholarship, students must be full-time, currently enrolled college sophomores or juniors at an accredited college or university in the US or Canada, and pursuing a career in engineering. Online applications are due by 6 February 2015 and recipients will be announced in April 2015.
