Malvern Instruments is launching a new, improved version of its OmniSEC software for advanced protein analysis.

Tailored to the specific needs of protein scientists, the new version, called OmniSEC 5.1, allows any Viscotek size exclusion chromatography (SEC) detector to be integrated with Waters' Empower-driven SEC systems for protein characterization. Malvern says that by eliminating the need to input the same sequences multiple times, OmniSEC 5.1 makes integrated systems quicker to set up, easier to use and less prone to errors.

Malvern experts will present OmniSEC 5.1 at the forthcoming international symposium on gel permeation chromatography (GPC)/SEC and related techniques, which takes place in Frankfurt, Germany, on 30 September to 2 October.
