Waters has signed a collaboration agreement with Imperial College London and BGI, the Chinese genomics organization, for translational medicine.

Under the agreement, the three organizations will work together on developing a comprehensive approach to human 'omics testing and data analysis, including methods for detecting novel disease biomarkers. Waters will contribute its expertise in liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and biomarker data collection; Imperial College will contribute its expertise in metabolic phenotyping, imaging and data analysis; and BGI will contribute its expertise in genomics and bioinformatics.
