This review emphasizes the development of novel stationary phases and their implementation in microchannels in lab-on-a-chip systems with reference to recent instrumental advances. [August 23, 2010]

Is there any DNA there? Is there any DNA there?
The presence of DNA in ancient bone specimens can be inferred from the extent of amino acid racemisation, say Italian scientists, who used HPLC with fluorescence detection to measure the D/L ratios of alanine and aspartic acid. [August 16, 2010]

Antioxidants attacked Antioxidants attacked
The antioxidant levels in complex plant matrices have been determined by two HPLC methods employing post-column addition of reagents. The first involved a cupric ion reagent that is reduced by the antioxidants whereas the second is an improved and refined method based on the DPPH radical. [August 2, 2010]
